Service changes near Independence Day

Lakewood City Hall will be closed Friday, July 3 as it falls on the regularly scheduled alternating Friday closure. Trash pickup will be as usual, but no street sweeping. City Hall is open and all services will continue as usual on Monday, July 6.

Lakewood residents are invited to share up to three festive photos of people, families and pets showing their red, white and blue spirit as the community gets ready for America’s 250th anniversary. The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 6.

Civic Center Block Party returns June 27

Family fun, a rockin’ good time, and a big, professional fireworks show return to Clark Avenue and the Lakewood Civic Center on Saturday, June 27.

July Movie Marathon

Independence Day closure and service changes

July 03, 2026

Lakewood City Hall is closed Friday, July 3 as part of the usual alternating Friday closures. On that day, trash pickup will occur but there will be no street sweeping. City Hall will be open on Monday, July 6, and all services as usual.

Family Nights at McCormick Pool

On Friday nights from June 19 to Aug. 21, come out to McCormick Pool from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. for special themed family swim nights.

Farmers Market at Del Amo and Clark

The Lakewood Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the city property at Del Amo Blvd. and Clark Ave.

Mini-Pitch Soccer Tournaments coming to Palms Park

July 11, 2026

Teams will compete at Palms Park on June 20 and July 11, with championship matches taking place on the special mini-pitch set up at the Finals Match Watch Party Event at Mayfair Park on July 19.
